Operativ Media reports that the manager emphasized the club's necessity to optimize its budget.

According to him, completing new signings is impossible until the wage bill is reduced. As part of this process, it is not ruled out that three, four, or five players could leave the squad.

Earlier reports indicated that to comply with the Licensing Commission's requirements and avoid expulsion from the top tier, Marseille must generate at least €180 million from player sales by June 30, 2027.
