Internacional has dismissed head coach Paulo Pezzolano.

Operativ Media reports that, according to a club statement, Pablo Fernandez will temporarily assume the duties of the 43-year-old Uruguayan specialist.

Pezzolano had been in charge of the Brazilian side since January 2026. His contract with the club was set to run until December 31, 2026.

Under his leadership, Internacional recorded 17 wins, 12 draws, and 14 defeats in 43 matches.

Pezzolano previously managed Watford, Real Valladolid, Cruzeiro, Pachuca, and Liverpool Montevideo.

Internacional currently sits 18th in the Brazilian league standings, with 28 points from 28 matches.
