Two Chinese companies have ended their advertising partnerships with France and Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe.

Operativ Media reports that statements were issued by energy drink producer Dunpen and dairy products manufacturer Mengniu.

Dunpen stated that it takes a firm stance against actions that insult national sentiments and maintains zero tolerance for such incidents, announcing the termination of all cooperation with Mbappe effective today.

Mengniu also announced that it has cut ties with the French footballer, emphasizing its strong opposition to words and actions that offend the feelings of the Chinese people.

Notably, Mbappe previously mentioned in an interview that his favorite meme was an edited image featuring his face photoshopped onto a Chinese dictator.

Over the past year, fans had jokingly started calling the footballer a "dictator," suggesting he exerts influence over decisions made at Real Madrid and within the France national team.
