Manchester United Interested in Everton Defender

Manchester United is interested in Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite and considers him a primary candidate to rebuild its backline in 2027.

Operativ Media reports, citing Football Insider. The 24-year-old English player, who recently struggled to maintain peak form due to injuries, has once again caught the attention of top clubs.

Manchester United previously attempted to sign Branthwaite back in 2024, but Everton rejected offers of approximately 42 million and 54 million euros.

The defender later extended his contract with the club until 2030. Everton is reportedly demanding around 100 million euros for the player. Alongside Manchester United, Liverpool is also interested in Branthwaite's services, with the rivalry between the clubs making a potential transfer even more complicated.

Branthwaite has appeared in seven English championship matches during the 2026/2027 season, though he has not registered any goal contributions.

The Transfermarkt portal values the player at 45 million euros.
