Lithuania and a South Korean defense company have agreed on the joint production of air defense systems.

Operativ Media reports, citing the Baltic republic's Ministry of Defense.

The parties agreed to produce WAAG 40 mm wheeled anti-aircraft systems. Lithuanian company KMT will handle vehicle integration, metalworking companies Cosmos Construction and T&G Lithuania will produce the turret hulls and cabling, and Nortal will be responsible for integrating the air defense systems into the NATO network.

The WAAG system is designed to counter low-flying aerial targets, including unmanned aerial vehicles.
