Mirzoyan: We want the peace agreement with Azerbaijan signed as soon as possible
Armenia aims to sign and ratify a peace agreement with Azerbaijan as soon as possible.
Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan made the statement during a joint meeting of several parliamentary standing committees during preliminary discussions on the 2027 state budget, Operativ Media reports.
The minister noted that fostering an environment of peace and cooperation in the region will be one of Armenia's primary foreign policy priorities in 2027.
According to Mirzoyan, strengthening Armenia's sovereignty and independence, as well as ensuring state resilience, are also key objectives. In this context, the focus will be on the country's four neighbours.
Mirzoyan added that Armenia's foreign policy in 2027 will be a logical continuation of the policy pursued in 2026, incorporating certain changes and new priorities.
He also expressed confidence that Azerbaijani cargo will transit through Armenian territory under the TRIPP project and other programs.
