The United States plans to lift its blockade on Iranian ports after an agreement is reached to restore unhindered shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.

One of the agency's sources noted that "as soon as an agreement is announced that will restore unhindered commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, the US will lift the blockade imposed on Iranian ports."

At the same time, the publication emphasized that future U.S. actions will be tied to Iran fulfilling its obligations to ensure navigation in the strait.
