Armenia has approved a subsidy plan totaling 5.365 billion drams (approximately $14.7 million) for businesses exporting agricultural products to the EU, UK, and Canadian markets.

Operativ Media reports that this was announced by Arman Khojoyan, acting Deputy Minister of Economy of Armenia.

According to the report, the funds will be used to compensate exporters for produce shipped in July. He stated that exports in July included 2,300 tons of peppers, 1,600 tons of tomatoes, nearly 7,000 tons of apricots, 1,700 tons of cherries, 430 tons of plums, and 1,600 tons of peaches and nectarines.

Since early June, Armenia has been approving subsidy packages to stimulate exports to the EU, Canada, and the UK by offsetting logistics and customs costs.
