Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior has rejected a new contract extension offer from the Spanish club.

The Spanish giants reportedly offered the 26-year-old Brazilian player a deal running through 2031 with an annual salary of €22 million. A follow-up meeting between representatives of both parties is scheduled for this Wednesday.

According to the report, following the World Cup, Real Madrid's new head coach Jose Mourinho personally informed Vinicius that he is counting on him, with the manager and the attacker sharing a very strong relationship.

Vinicius, who has been with Real Madrid since the summer of 2018, is currently under contract until the summer of 2027.

Transfermarkt values the forward at €140 million. In the 2025/2026 season, the Brazilian recorded 22 goals and 14 assists in 53 appearances across all competitions, alongside four goals and one assist in five matches at the 2026 World Cup.
