​Operativ Media reports that competing in the -50 kg weight category, the Azerbaijani athlete defeated Kazakhstan's Adilzhan Nurbeke in the decisive final match.

​Outperforming his opponent with an active display throughout the bout, the Azerbaijani judoka climbed to the top step of the podium.

It should be noted that  Farid Rzazade became the fifth cadet world champion in the history of Azerbaijani judo.
