Milikh Yevdayev, who was awarded the 1st-class Order "For Service to the Fatherland" by decree of President Ilham Aliyev for his long-term fruitful activity in Azerbaijan's public life, has been presented with the award.

Operativ Media reports, citing the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations.

Committee Chairman Ramin Mammadov said that religious tolerance and the peaceful, harmonious coexistence of representatives of different confessions are characteristic features of Azerbaijan, serving as a source of pride for all Azerbaijanis, regardless of their ethnic or religious background.

Mammadov noted that under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, targeted measures are being implemented to preserve national and moral values, keep the rich religious heritage alive, and support the activities of religious communities. Thanks to the initiative and attention of the head of state, mosques, churches, and synagogues, which are important examples of the country's history and culture, are being thoroughly restored and reconstructed, with their original historical and architectural features preserved.

Additionally, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, led by First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva, implements numerous projects to strengthen interfaith dialogue and cooperation.

Yevdayev expressed his deep gratitude to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev for the attention and trust shown to him. He described being awarded the 1st-class Order "For Service to the Fatherland" as a highly significant event in his life, as well as a great honor and responsibility.
