Operativ Media reports that James Eziashi, a forward for Qarabag's U-14 team, said this in an interview with ASAN Radio.

He said that playing for the Azerbaijani national team is one of his biggest dreams:

“My father is Nigerian, and my mother is Azerbaijani. As an Azerbaijani, I would love to play for the Azerbaijani national team. I was born in Baku; I am a Bayil kid. I know the Azerbaijani national anthem by heart. My name is James Eziashi. I was born in Azerbaijan and currently play for Qarabag. Football is everything to me. My father was also a football player. I probably inherited my love for football from him. I cannot imagine myself without football. I even dream about football. My favorite players are Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior. I get really happy when I score. There are games where I score two or even four goals, and I enjoy it immensely. I really like Gurban Gurbanov. He is a very good coach. I try to play better every day, to make it to Qarabag's first team, and to have Gurban Gurbanov as my coach. I speak three languages: Azerbaijani, Russian, and English. Our relationship with the other boys on the team is very good; we love each other. If there is no friendliness in the team, we cannot succeed in any game. My biggest dream is to play for the Azerbaijani national team.”
