At least one person has been killed and three others injured after an Iranian civilian vessel was struck in the Strait of Hormuz.

Operativ Media reports that the head of Qeshm District, Amir Teymuri, provided the information.

"At around 5 a.m. today, a merchant vessel was struck near Hengam Island and the Shib-Deraz coast of Qeshm Island," he added.
