President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree simplifying visa procedures for foreigners and stateless persons traveling to the Republic of Azerbaijan in connection with the first world football championship and festival among boys under 15 years of age.

Operativ Media reports that according to the decree, foreigners and stateless persons arriving in Azerbaijan for the first world football championship and festival among boys under 15 years of age (FIFA U-15 World Cup and Festival), who present any of the documents mentioned in part 2 of this Decree, can obtain visas at the international airports of the Republic of Azerbaijan from September 22 to November 5, 2026.

One of the following documents is considered the basis for visa issuance:

An official invitation letter from the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA);

A document confirming accreditation through the electronic registration system in accordance with the relevant regulations of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA).

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs must inform the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), the International Air Transport Association, and relevant foreign authorities about the simplified visa procedures for foreigners and stateless persons traveling to the Republic of Azerbaijan for the first world football championship and festival among boys under 15 years of age (FIFA U-15 World Cup and Festival) to be held in Azerbaijan.

The Ministry must ensure that information about the simplified visa procedures for foreigners and stateless persons traveling to Azerbaijan for the first world football championship and festival among boys under 15 years of age (FIFA U-15 World Cup and Festival), as well as the option for foreigners and stateless persons to obtain electronic visas via the "ASAN Visa" system, is posted on the website of the Ministry, as well as on the websites of the embassies and consulates of the Republic of Azerbaijan in foreign countries.

The State Migration Service must inform airlines operating flights to Azerbaijan about the simplified visa procedures for foreigners and stateless persons traveling to the Republic of Azerbaijan in connection with the world championship and festival (FIFA U-15 World Cup and Festival).
