Barcelona set eyes on Tottenham midfielder Lucas Bergvall

Barcelona are considering a move to sign Sweden international midfielder Lucas Bergvall from English club Tottenham Hotspur.

Operativ Media reports, citing TEAMtalk, that the Catalan club is monitoring the 20-year-old player's situation. Bergvall has been unable to secure sufficient playing time under head coach Roberto De Zerbi.

Napoli and Juventus are also interested in the Swedish midfielder. The Turin club plans to sign the player on loan in January until the end of the season. However, Tottenham currently have no intention of parting ways with Bergvall.

Lucas Bergvall joined Tottenham from Swedish club Djurgården in 2024. In the 2026/2027 season, he has made six appearances across all competitions without registering any goal contributions.

The Transfermarkt portal values the 20-year-old midfielder at €40 million.
