West Ham sacks head coach Nuno Espírito Santo
West Ham has announced the departure of Portuguese specialist Nuno Espírito Santo from his role as head coach.
Operativ Media reports that the London club's management concluded that changes were necessary to reach the club's goals after reviewing the start of the season in the English Championship.
Along with the head coach, assistant manager Rui Pedro Silva and goalkeeping coach Rui Barbosa have also departed the team.
The club has begun searching for a new head coach. Preparations for tomorrow's Championship match against Cardiff City have been temporarily placed in the hands of Mark Noble, Steve Potts, and Gerard Prenderville.
West Ham sits eighth in the Championship table with 22 points after 13 rounds, trailing the automatic Premier League promotion spots by four points.
The London club has recorded two wins, one draw, and two losses in its last five league matches.
