Pezeshkian: Azerbaijan supported Iran during the war
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has stated that Baku supported Tehran, addressing issues that arose during the war.
Operativ Media reports that Pezeshkian noted regional countries' condemnation of Israel and the U.S. during the "12-day war" created a situation different from previous periods.
According to him, Iran's relations with regional countries are currently improving. Pezeshkian said cooperation with Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Turkmenistan is at a good level.
Regarding Azerbaijan, the Iranian president stated that although transit routes for goods and an Iranian bank were closed during the war, the operations of the roads, the bank, and the embassy were restored within two hours following a phone call.
Pezeshkian also emphasized that during the war, Azerbaijan provided assistance and support to Iran, particularly regarding the transit of Russian and Azerbaijani goods.
