Kyrgyzstan in Talks with Azerbaijan to Expand Fuel Imports

Kyrgyzstan's Cabinet of Ministers is conducting negotiations with several countries to secure the nation's fuel supply.

This was announced by Adylbek Kasymaliev, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the Presidential Administration, according to Operativ Media

According to Kasymaliev, Kyrgyzstan imports more than 90% of its fuel, making domestic prices directly vulnerable to geopolitical developments. Consequently, the country is in talks with Russia, Belarus, China, Azerbaijan, and Uzbekistan, as well as European nations and Turkey.

"As you already know, the first five trucks carrying fuel have arrived from China. However, fuel needs to be delivered from China by rail rather than by truck, and negotiations on this matter are currently underway. Talks are also ongoing with Azerbaijan," he noted.
