A "Tourism Village" concept is being developed to support the socio-economic development of the regions and increase the income of rural communities.

Operativ Media reports that this is reflected in the State Program for the Development of Tourism in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2026–2030.

According to the program, a regulatory and legal framework will be established for the concept.

Under the "Tourism Village" model, support will be provided to small rural businesses, eco-friendly products, local cultural heritage, and traditions will be promoted, and tourists will be channeled toward the regions.
