Azerbaijan to Develop Gastronomy Tourism
Large-scale measures are being launched in Azerbaijan to promote local culinary traditions and develop gastronomy tourism.
According to Operativ Media, under the "State Program for Tourism Development for 2026–2030," gastronomy festivals and events will be organized in the country, and selected restaurants and catering establishments will be integrated into international restaurant guides.
The document also envisages enhancing chefs' professional skills, supporting the National Culinary Team's participation in international competitions, and establishing logistical support and practical training centers for the sector. In parallel, the "Milli dadlar" (National Flavors) electronic gastronomy portal will be upgraded.
These measures aim to diversify tourism products, enhance service quality, reduce seasonality, and extend tourists' length of stay in the country.
