A delegation led by Farhad Abdullayev, Chairman of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan, paid a working visit to Batumi, Georgia, on September 9.

The delegation included Constitutional Court Judge Rashid Rzayev and Chief of Staff Anar Babayev.

During the visit, a meeting was held with Revaz Nadariya, Chairman of the Constitutional Court of Georgia, and the court's judges.

Welcoming the Azerbaijani delegation, Chairman of the Constitutional Court of Georgia Revaz Nadariya shared his positive impressions of his visit to Azerbaijan to participate in the event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2025.

Expressing gratitude for the warm welcome, Chairman of the Constitutional Court Farhad Abdullayev noted the developing friendly and cooperative relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia in various fields, and emphasized that the existing ties between the two countries are of great importance for further deepening cooperation in the legal and judicial systems.

Reviewing the dynamics of development of Azerbaijani-Georgian relations in various areas, the sides noted the importance of mutual visits by the leaders of the two countries.

Subsequently, extensive discussions were held on dialogue and cooperation between the constitutional courts to strengthen the rule of law.

The meeting also focused on ensuring the rule of law, development trends in constitutional justice, and expanding the exchange of experience between the constitutional courts.

In addition, constitutional law issues arising in judicial practice were reviewed, and the parties' legal and practical approaches to these issues were presented.

The meeting also featured an exchange of views and experiences on modern reforms and processes implemented in the judicial systems.

During the event, the importance of the existing cooperation between the Constitutional Courts of Azerbaijan and Georgia was particularly emphasized. The sides noted the importance of continuously expanding mutual dialogue to strengthen the rule of law and develop constitutional justice.

On September 10, the Azerbaijani delegation met with Zurab Pataradze, Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, and Tsotne Ananidze, Chairman of the Supreme Council.

During the meeting, discussions were held on the level of development of Azerbaijani-Georgian judicial-legal relations, opportunities for expanding cooperation, as well as prospects for ties in the legal and judicial fields.

At the same time, detailed information was provided on the friendly and brotherly partnership relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia in the modern era, noting the positive dynamics of development in all areas.

Fuad Azizov, Azerbaijan's Consul General in Batumi, attended the meetings held during the visit.
