At the invitation of his Kazakh counterpart, a delegation led by the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Kamran Aliyev, arrived in the city of Turkistan, Kazakhstan, on September 10 for an official visit.

During a bilateral meeting with Kazakhstan's Prosecutor General Berik Asylov, the host expressed satisfaction with the high level of consistently expanding cooperation between the two states in various fields, particularly the close and effective relations established between their prosecution authorities.

Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev thanked his counterpart for the warm hospitality and reception, emphasizing that Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan relations, founded by National Leader Heydar Aliyev and successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev, are consistently developing in political, economic, trade, transport, cultural, and other fields.

The Prosecutor General stated that the relations based on the political will and mutual trust of the two leaders significantly contribute to the further strengthening of strategic partnership and allied relations between the states. In this regard, he noted that the "Declaration on Strengthening Strategic Relations and Deepening Allied Cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Kazakhstan," signed in Baku on August 24, 2022, was an important milestone in the development of bilateral relations. Pointing out that this process has also created fertile ground for cooperation between the prosecution authorities, Kamran Aliyev emphasized the importance of interaction carried out both bilaterally and within multilateral platforms and international organizations, expressing confidence that the existing cooperation between the prosecution authorities of the two countries will continue to develop sustainably in the future.

The Prosecutor General also highlighted brotherly Kazakhstan's support for the large-scale reconstruction and restoration work carried out in the liberated territories following the historic victory in the 44-day Patriotic War. He noted the opening of the Kurmangazy Children's Art Center in the city of Fuzuli on March 12, 2024, built as a gift from the people of Kazakhstan to the people of Azerbaijan, with the participation of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, as a clear example of the strong friendly and brotherly relations between the two countries and peoples.

At the same time, he described the heads of state reviewing the project of the Central District Hospital to be built in Fuzuli on that same date, and the participation of a Kazakh company in its implementation, as an indicator of the successful continuation of cooperation between the two countries in reviving the liberated territories.

During the meeting, discussions were held on a number of issues of mutual interest, and views were exchanged on prospective areas of cooperation and priorities for future activities.

Later, on September 11, Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev attended the 5th meeting of the Council of Prosecutors General of the Member States of the Organization of Turkic States in Turkistan.

In his speech, the Prosecutor General thanked the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Berik Asylov, for the high-level organization of this important event. He spoke on the role of prosecution authorities in ensuring legality in urban planning and architecture, which is one of the priority areas of the state policy implemented in the Republic of Azerbaijan under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev.

The Prosecutor General noted that as the country developed economically, the appearance of its cities changed and modernized. In parallel, Azerbaijan approaches the preservation of its historical architectural heritage and traditions with special sensitivity.

A clear example of this is the restoration of cultural and historical monuments in the liberated lands, as well as the construction of new infrastructure guided by the requirements of our architectural heritage. It was specifically noted that the cities of Karabakh are being rebuilt to modern standards with the close participation of brotherly Turkic states. Furthermore, Azerbaijan is bringing this experience to the international stage.

For instance, hosting the 13th session of the UN World Urban Forum in our capital this year, the country demonstrated its commitment to supporting global efforts in this sphere, as in other areas. Speaking about the long-term and multilateral impacts of decisions made in urban planning, the Prosecutor General briefed the participants on the comprehensive measures implemented by the prosecution authorities in this process.

Within the framework of the event, a bilateral meeting was also held with a delegation led by the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Turkey, Muhsin Senturk. During the meeting, it was emphasized that the historical brotherly relations between our countries, especially the friendly ties between our heads of state, Ilham Aliyev and Recep Tayyip Erdogan, lie at the foundation of strengthening the unity of the Turkic world. Subsequently, views were exchanged on issues of mutual interest regarding cooperation between the prosecution offices, as well as the organization of joint international events.

The delegation's visit is ongoing. Meetings with delegations from several countries are scheduled within the framework of the event.
