The U.S. Department of State has urged citizens to exercise caution due to the situation in the Middle East.

Operativ Media reports that the State Department statement says: "U.S. citizens currently in the Middle East should exercise increased caution and be aware of the risks of flight cancellations, airspace closures, and travel disruptions."

The statement specifically noted the threat posed by the Houthis, who are waging war against Saudi Arabia.

According to Al Jazeera, the warning applies to Iraq, Bahrain, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Qatar, Lebanon, Kuwait, and Jordan.
