Azerbaijan's Minister of Defense, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, has sent a letter of condolence to Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Commander of the Land Forces and Chief of the Defense Forces of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

Operativ Media reports that the message reads:

"I am deeply saddened by the news of the death of six servicemen during a clash with terrorists in the Hangu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in northwestern Pakistan.

I pray for those who lost their lives in this terrorist incident, share the grief of their loved ones, and extend my deepest condolences to their families."
