Whether Isack Hadjar will return to the Red Bull lineup for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix after missing the last three races due to injury will be determined in the coming days.

Operativ Media reports that a final decision on the French driver's condition will be made following final assessments. In Hadjar's absence, Liam Lawson has competed as Max Verstappen's teammate.

Red Bull team principal Laurent Mekies stated that Hadjar can only return to his previous position once he is fully recovered.

According to RacingNews365, Hadjar underwent an extensive evaluation in the Red Bull simulator on Monday, September 21. It was reported that the driver's hand pain has eased and his condition is improving.

A final decision is expected to be announced shortly based on the results of the analysis following the simulator session.

Notably, unlike previous races, this weekend's Azerbaijan Grand Prix will take place on Saturday instead of Sunday. The upcoming decision will determine whether Hadjar or Lawson will be behind the wheel of the Red Bull RB22 car.

If Hadjar is confirmed ready to race, Lawson will return to the Racing Bulls team. In this case, Yuki Tsunoda's temporary three-race stint will also come to an end.

During this period, Tsunoda delivered good results alongside Lindblad, scoring points at the Italian Grand Prix in Monza.
