Azerbaijan Airlines has successfully operated its inaugural flight to the Turkish city of Kars.

AZAL reported the launch to Operativ Media.

Passengers on the first flight were welcomed with a special ceremony upon arrival at Kars Harakani Airport. Flights on the new route will operate twice weekly, on Thursdays and Sundays. The launch of the route is expected to further expand air connectivity between Azerbaijan and Türkiye, enhance travel opportunities for passengers, and foster closer tourism, commercial, and cultural ties.

Türkiye remains Azerbaijan Airlines' largest market. The carrier currently operates regular scheduled flights to Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Antalya, Bodrum, Trabzon, Dalaman, Adana, and Kars.
