Bayern Munich chief executive Jan-Christian Dreesen has said talks over a contract extension with striker Harry Kane are close to being finalized.

Operativ Media reports, citing Dreesen's comments to Kicker magazine, that work on the final details of the deal is ongoing. He said the two sides discussed and agreed on all main issues prior to the Ballon d'Or ceremony.

The club official noted that lawyers are working through contract fine-tuning, which could take several days. He emphasized that both parties want to prolong their partnership for as long as possible.

Dreesen also said negotiations with the 33-year-old English player's father and brother, who represent his interests, were as intense as they were during his transfer from Tottenham to Bayern in 2023.

Kane's current contract expires at the end of the present season. The English striker was awarded the Ballon d'Or on October 26, becoming the first English footballer to claim the trophy since Michael Owen in 2001.

Harry Kane has been playing for Munich since August 2023. In the 2026/27 season, he has scored 10 goals and provided 7 assists in 12 appearances.

The Transfermarkt portal estimates the player's market value at €60 million.
