The German Federal Foreign Office has issued a statement marking the anniversary of the summit between Azerbaijan and Armenia held in Washington on August 8, 2025.

Operativ Media reports that the German Foreign Office stated the summit created a historic momentum in relations between the two countries.

The statement urged both sides to continue the peace process and make further progress in this direction.

It emphasized that peace and stability in the South Caucasus are in the interest of all parties.

The German Foreign Office noted that Germany, alongside its partners in the European Union and the United States, will continue to support the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
