Italian club Inter Milan is preparing to submit a new offer to Liverpool for the transfer of midfielder Curtis Jones.

Operativ Media reports, citing renowned insider Nicolo Schira, that the Milan-based club is determined to pay around €30 million, excluding add-ons, for the English player. Direct talks between the clubs regarding the transfer are expected to take place this week.

The midfielder has reportedly already agreed to personal terms with the Nerazzurri on a contract running until the summer of 2031. However, the Merseysiders are holding out for more than €40 million for their academy product. Jones made his first-team debut for Liverpool in January 2019 at the age of 17. Since then, he has made 228 appearances across all competitions for the club, scoring 22 goals and providing 22 assists. His current contract with Liverpool has one year remaining.
