Recovery and rescue operations have continued throughout the day in Kyiv and the surrounding region following a Russian strike.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy shared this on his Telegram account, Operativ Media reports.

According to him, the Russian attack was carried out using numerous ballistic and cruise missiles, as well as unmanned aerial vehicles.

Zelenskyy noted that ballistic missiles currently pose the greatest challenge for Ukraine.

"Although about 90 percent of the cruise missiles were intercepted during the attack, the situation regarding ballistic missiles is more difficult. The country needs missiles for Patriot systems, and only our partners can provide them," he said.

He emphasized that Ukraine does not want weapons as a gift and is ready to buy them.

According to Zelenskyy, the main issue is for partners, primarily the United States, to make the appropriate political decisions.
