Abdullah Zoubir, who sought to leave Qarabag for Saudi Arabian club Al-Orobah, has faced an unexpected setback.

Operativ Media reports that the 34-year-old winger's transfer has fallen through, according to the French publication L'Equipe.

The French player's contract with Al-Orobah was not approved by the local league due to the club's financial guarantee issues.

As a result, Zoubir has been granted free agent status, leaving the experienced winger free to sign with a new club.

Zoubir played for Qarabag from July 2018 until August this year. He made a total of 369 appearances for the "Horsemen," recording 79 goals and 96 assists.
