Operativ Media reports that Ulvi Mehdiyev, Chairman of the Social Services Agency, said this at a conference dedicated to the 15th anniversary of AIDA.

He noted that Azerbaijan has become a reliable partner in humanitarian aid and development cooperation in recent decades. According to Mehdiyev, the country's transition from a recipient state to a donor country reflects an approach where development is a shared responsibility.

The Chairman of the Social Services Agency highlighted the importance of the ASAN service model, stating that the model, established on the initiative of President Ilham Aliyev, promotes efficiency, transparency, and innovation in public services.

Mehdiyev noted that ASAN Service received the UN Public Service Award in 2015, and a special UN award in 2019 for promoting innovation in digital public service delivery.

According to him, the ASAN concept is currently shared with more than 40 countries across four continents. Public service centers based on the ASAN model have been established in Pakistan, Indonesia, Ethiopia, Uganda, Uzbekistan, and Afghanistan.

Mehdiyev stated that more than 600 centers worldwide operate based on the ASAN model, serving over 80 million people.

He added that the establishment of a trust fund between the UN and the Government of Azerbaijan in 2024 was a key initiative for the wider dissemination of the ASAN model within development cooperation.

According to Mehdiyev, ASAN is an important tool for digital transformation, combating corruption, implementing the Sustainable Development Goals, and ensuring human rights.

The chairman emphasized Azerbaijan's commitment to sharing this experience with more partner countries and continuing international cooperation.
