Ilham Aliyev: Azerbaijani people united like a single fist during 44-day Patriotic War

The Azerbaijani people united like a single fist during the 44-day Patriotic War.

President Ilham Aliyev said this on November 6 during a meeting with residents relocating to the villages of Jahangirbayli in Zangilan District and Soltanli in Jabrayil District, Operativ Media reports.

The head of state noted that they had restored justice:

"This Victory will live forever in our hearts. Our people and future generations will always be proud of this Victory. Because we restored justice, restored our dignity, and restored our rights by shedding blood on the battlefield. May Allah rest the souls of all our martyrs. Their cherished memory will live forever in our hearts. I am sure their loved ones know that their blood was not shed in vain. They were avenged on the battlefield, and today the greatest mark of respect for their cherished memory is this beautiful revival of Karabakh and Eastern Zangazur."
