Participants of Azerbaijani NGO Cooperation Forum Address Appeal to President Ilham Aliyev

Participants in the Cooperation Forum of Azerbaijani Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) have addressed an appeal to President and Victorious Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev.

"Dear Mr. President, Victorious Commander-in-Chief!

As over 400 civil society representatives participating in the 'Cooperation Forum of Azerbaijani Non-Governmental Organizations', we take immense pride in addressing you on the eve of the 6th anniversary of Victory Day on November 8, one of the most glorious pages in our people's history!

You are the Commander-in-Chief who brought historical Victory to the Azerbaijani people, fully restored the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our state, returned our national pride and dignity, and fulfilled the testament of National Leader Heydar Aliyev. Thanks to your decisive leadership, political will, and wise strategy, the dream of Victory cherished in the hearts of our people for decades has come true. This Victory is not only a military success, but also a triumph of national will, statehood determination, unity between the people and government, and historical justice. The Victory achieved under your leadership in the 44-day Patriotic War ushered Azerbaijan into a new historical stage and laid a solid foundation for the future development of our country.

Dear Mr. President!

Today, Azerbaijan is not only a state that liberated its lands and restored its sovereignty. Azerbaijan is a state that defines the political and economic realities of the region, stands out with its position and voice in the system of international relations, and is transforming into a middle power center with its growing capabilities and influence. The fact that Azerbaijan, having won the war, acts as the initiator of the peace agenda is an important historical outcome of your political leadership. Today, the large-scale restoration and reconstruction work carried out in our liberated territories, the implementation of the Great Return program, and the building of modern cities and villages express victorious Azerbaijan's vision for the future. The revival of life in Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur demonstrates the eternal and irreversible results of our Victory.

Dear Mr. President!

The strength of Azerbaijan is not measured solely by its economic and military potential. At the foundation of this strength lies the ideology of Azerbaijanism that unites us, our national and moral values, our historical memory, and nationwide solidarity. In this regard, preserving national ideological security, protecting society from alien influences and disinformation, and promoting statehood interests, our historical truths, and national-moral values are of special importance.

The international events held in our country under your leadership in recent years, including COP29, the World Urban Forum, the Forum on Intercultural Dialogue, and other international events, confirm Azerbaijan's growing role in global processes, its organizational capabilities, and international trust, while also inspiring us to protect and defend our values.

As active representatives of civil society, Azerbaijani NGOs deeply understand their responsibility in this regard and express their readiness to continue contributing to the protection of our state's national interests, as well as moral and constitutional values.

We, the NGOs of Azerbaijan, stand with you and are ready to contribute to the realization of the strategic goals you have set for the development of our state, the protection of our national interests, and the unity and solidarity of our people. As we watched the amputee football match featuring landmine victims held within the framework of the forum in Ganja, we were convinced once again that no landmine or war wound can shake the invincible spirit of the Azerbaijani people—the will, passion for life, and fighting spirit displayed on the pitch by these individuals was a vivid manifestation of how deeply our Victory is enshrined in the hearts of our people.

On the eve of this remarkable day, we declare once again that Azerbaijani NGOs fully support the policies pursued under your leadership and look to the future of an independent and powerful Azerbaijan with great confidence.

Victory is the pride of our people, sovereignty is the eternal wealth of our state, and our national unity based on the ideology of Azerbaijanism is the guarantee of our future victories!"
