Azerbaijan's new ambassador presents credentials to Uzbek foreign minister
Uzbekistan's Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov has received a copy of the credentials of Rashad Mammadov, Azerbaijan's newly appointed ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary.
Operativ Media reports, citing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.
During the meeting, the minister noted that centuries-old ties of brotherhood, a shared history, cultural roots, and mutual respect unite Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan. It was emphasized that close relations based on strong trust between the leaders of both nations continue to enrich this solid foundation with new substance in strategic partnership and alliance.
The two sides discussed maintaining high-level political dialogue, expanding trade, economic, and investment cooperation, and advancing joint projects in transport and logistics.
The meeting highlighted that Ambassador Rashad Mammadov's extensive diplomatic experience will contribute to further strengthening allied relations between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan and achieving new practical results in bilateral cooperation.
