Alexei Chadayev, an adviser to the Russian Minister of Transport, has announced his decision to resign from his post.

Operativ Media reports this citing Russian media.

He stated that what he said about Azerbaijan on a podcast reflected his personal views.

He also noted that he does not consider it right for such remarks to affect interstate cooperation or create obstacles to the joint work of the two countries. 

It should be noted that a criminal case was opened against Chadayev and two other individuals over their statements regarding Azerbaijan, and they were placed on an international wanted list.
