Azerbaijan Airlines, one of the AZCON Holding companies, has operated its first flight to this destination, adding the Kazakh city of Aktobe to its route network.

With the launch of the new route, the number of Kazakh cities served by the airline has reached six.

Regular flights on the Baku–Aktobe–Baku route are operated three times a week—on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Direct flights will facilitate the development of business ties and tourism exchange between the two countries, as well as make mutual travel more convenient.

Located in western Kazakhstan, Aktobe is one of the country's key industrial and economic centers. Known for its rich historical and cultural heritage, the region also boasts unique natural landmarks. The Aktobe region is home to the famous Aktolagay chalk mountains, the Barkyn sands, the Kargaly reservoir, as well as numerous historical and sacred sites. This destination is an excellent choice for both business travelers and those wishing to explore the culture, history, and nature of western Kazakhstan.

Following the launch of flights to Shymkent and Atyrau earlier this year, the new service to Aktobe is another step by the national carrier toward expanding its route network in Central Asia. The new flights also provide passengers traveling from Kazakhstan with access to the airline's other international destinations via Baku.
