Cargo handling capacity of Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway reaches 5 million tons

The cargo handling capacity of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway has been increased to 5 million tons.

Operativ Media reports that Prime Minister Ali Asadov stated this during his address at the 11th meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Georgia.

He noted that Azerbaijan and Georgia continue their joint efforts toward the development of the Middle Corridor.

The Prime Minister described the full-capacity operation of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway as an example of successful cooperation between the two countries.
