UN: Conflicts in Yemen displace over 280,000 people

More than 280,000 people have been forced to flee their homes as a result of ongoing conflicts in Yemen.

Operativ Media reports that Matthew Saltmarsh, spokesperson for the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR), announced this at a press conference in Geneva.

According to him, security challenges and restricted access to humanitarian aid are further deteriorating the population's plight.

Saltmarsh noted that due to perilous conditions, many displaced people are unable to reach distribution centers, complicating efforts by humanitarian organizations to deliver aid to them.
