German actress Elke Sommer has died at the age of 85.

According to the report, the actress, who starred in a number of Hollywood films during the 1960s, passed away from heart failure at her home in Los Angeles.

Born in Berlin in 1940, Sommer made her Hollywood debut in 1963 with the film “The Prize.” She won a Golden Globe Award in 1964 for her role in the movie.
