Attempted provocation staged outside Azerbaijani embassy in London

A provocative rally has taken place outside the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the United Kingdom in London.

Operativ Media reports that Azerbaijan's embassy in London released information about the incident.

A group of 10 to 15 people participating in the demonstration carried Iranian flags as well as portraits of Ruhollah Khomeini, the first supreme religious leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The protesters, mostly women, chanted various slogans through megaphones, alleging that there is pressure against the hijab in Azerbaijan.

The participants attempted to manipulate issues related to Azerbaijan's domestic policy using religious slogans and political symbols.
