“Wars are raging around us, and there is no end in sight. The geography of these wars is expanding,”

Operativ Media reports that President Ilham Aliyev made these remarks while receiving security officials from the member states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).

“The mutual hostility between the warring parties is becoming open. All of this can lead, and in principle does lead, to the expansion of the geography of conflicts existing along the perimeter of our countries,” the head of state said, noting that in the current situation, both Azerbaijan's northern and southern neighbors are countries at war. In this context, he emphasized that regional security issues are of paramount importance.
