President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received Kai-Fu Lee, CEO of China's "01.AI" and "Sinovation Ventures" companies, and Filippo Malinverno, Coordinator for International Summits and Head of Development for Saudi Arabia at Italy's "TEHA Group" on September 24.

Operativ Media reports that the guests expressed their gratitude to the head of state for the reception.

They noted that they would participate in the Second Azerbaijan International Investment Forum, to be held in Baku under the patronage of President Ilham Aliyev, and highlighted the significance of the event.

President Ilham Aliyev emphasized that Azerbaijan enjoys close relations with both China and Italy, noting that businesspeople from both countries invest in Azerbaijan.

During the conversation, the approval of the "Artificial Intelligence Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2025–2028" was recalled. The parties also discussed the favorable business environment in the country and the fertile conditions created for both local entrepreneurs and foreign investors.

The meeting featured an exchange of views on the practical application of artificial intelligence in green energy, cybersecurity, education, and other fields, and opportunities for cooperation between Azerbaijan and these companies were discussed.
