Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has participated in the US Chamber of Commerce Executive Roundtable on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly in New York.

Operativ Media reports that the event was attended by executives and representatives of leading US companies. 

It was noted that the discussions highlighted Azerbaijan's geostrategic importance and the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and the United States following the historic 2025 Washington summit, emphasizing the importance of strengthening bilateral relations in key areas.

In his speech, the minister briefed the participants on Azerbaijan's foreign policy priorities, the steps taken since restoring its independence, and the foundations of the Azerbaijan-US strategic partnership. He particularly emphasized the key strategic pillars of Azerbaijan-US cooperation in economy, energy, trade, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, connectivity, and other areas of mutual interest, as well as regional developments and the Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization process.

He drew attention to the regional normalization process following the Washington Declaration adopted in August 2025 and the initialed Peace Agreement, including practical confidence-building measures such as the removal of transit restrictions and the initiation of direct bilateral trade relations with Armenia. Emphasizing the importance of TRIPP in ensuring unimpeded passage between the main part of Azerbaijan and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, alongside strengthening regional connectivity, trade, and economic integration, the minister spoke about Azerbaijan's strategic connectivity role as a regional hub through the Middle Corridor, alongside the Digital Silk Road.

Pointing to the launch of joint working groups on trade, energy, artificial intelligence, and connectivity following the first US-Azerbaijan Economic Dialogue, which secured over $8 billion in commercial commitments across more than 10 signed agreements, Bayramov noted key strategic energy achievements, including partnerships with US companies.
