Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with his Armenian counterpart Ararat Mirzoyan in New York on September 24 on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly.

It was noted that both ministers emphasized the importance of peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia and reviewed the progress made following the agreements reached within the framework of the 2025 Washington Peace Summit.

During the meeting, special attention was focused on opening economic and transport infrastructure between Azerbaijan and Armenia. In this context, trade and transit relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia were highlighted as practical examples of the benefits of peace.

The ministers exchanged views on opportunities to promote a positive agenda across various multilateral platforms.

The ministers agreed to continue their direct dialogue.
