Erdogan Congratulates Ilham Aliyev on Victory Day
President of the Republic of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan has sent a congratulatory letter to President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
Operativ Media reports that the text of the message reads:
"To His Excellency Mr. Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan
Mr. President, my dear Brother.
On the occasion of the sixth anniversary of Victory Day, which saw the liberation of ancient Azerbaijani lands occupied for thirty years, I extend my most sincere congratulations to Your Excellency and to all my Azerbaijani brothers and sisters on behalf of my nation and myself.
Azerbaijan's just struggle, crowned with a Great Victory, has become a source of pride for the entire Turkic world. The rapid progress in the reconstruction and revival of the liberated territories fills us all with pride.
Drawing strength from our unwavering bonds of friendship and brotherhood based on the concept of 'One nation, two states,' which we elevated to the highest level through the Shusha Declaration, I am fully confident that we will continue to work in close cooperation and solidarity both bilaterally and in the international arena.
As a result of our coordinated efforts to establish lasting peace, tranquility, and stability in our region, the South Caucasus is now recognized not as a region of conflict and instability, but as a region of cooperation and development.
I pray for God's mercy upon our heroic martyrs who laid down their lives in the struggle for their homeland's independence, honor their cherished memory with deep respect, and express my gratitude to our veterans.
My dear Brother, I take this opportunity to wish you robust health and happiness, and a prosperous and peaceful future to the brotherly people of Azerbaijan, offering my most sincere wishes."
