A landmine incident has occurred in the territory of Chardaqli village in the Aghdara district.

The Mine Action Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA) reported the incident to Operativ Media.

According to the agency, an anti-personnel mine detonated while Alzamin Surkhayli Vazir oglu, born in 1994 and employed by a non-governmental organization involved in humanitarian demining operations, was carrying out his duties.

Surkhayli suffered a right leg injury in the blast, while another employee, Fuzuli Mirzayev Rizvan oglu, born in 1998, sustained minor injuries. Both injured workers were evacuated to the district central hospital, where their condition is reported as satisfactory.
