Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario is close to continuing his career in Italy and is set to join Juventus soon.

According to the source, the London club has accepted an offer from the Turin outfit to sign the 29-year-old Italian goalkeeper on loan with an option to buy.

​Although an official contract has not yet been signed, all parties involved in the negotiations are confident the move will materialize. After a potential deal for Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez collapsed due to valuation differences, Juventus turned their focus to Vicario and approached Tottenham with a loan offer. According to insider Fabrizio Romano, the Turin club's option to buy the Italian keeper will not be mandatory.

​Guglielmo Vicario is expected to arrive in Turin today to undergo a medical examination and complete the paperwork. According to another insider, Nicolo Schira, the buy option being discussed between the clubs is around €10.5 million. If Juventus sign the player permanently, a 1+3-year contract running until the summer of 2030 will be signed. Vicario's current contract with Tottenham runs until the summer of 2028. He spent his entire career in Italy before moving to the London side from Empoli in 2023 for approximately €20 million.
