The list of specialized medical institutions authorized to perform donor organ transplants has been amended.

Operativ Media reports that the Cabinet of Ministers has issued a decision to this effect.

Baku Medical Plaza has been authorized to perform stem cell transplants.

At the same time, amendments have been made to the "List of medical institutions engaged in the harvesting, preparation, storage, transportation, import, and export of donor organs."

Baku Medical Plaza has been authorized to harvest, prepare, store, transport, import, and export stem cells.

Notably, by a decision of the Cabinet of Ministers dated July 20, 2026, the Republican Diagnostic Center was previously authorized to perform transplants, as well as harvest, prepare, store, transport, import, and export them.
