Armenian society must end its attempts to interfere in Azerbaijan's internal affairs.

The Western Azerbaijan Community said this in a statement, Operativ Media reports.

The statement noted that the groundless campaign of outcry in Armenia surrounding the recent visit of foreign diplomats to Azerbaijan's liberated territories shows no signs of abating:

"Such a reaction, which damages the peace and normalization process between the two countries, shows that Armenian society still has serious hesitations about completely abandoning the notorious 'miatsum' policy, accepting Azerbaijan's sovereignty, and living in peaceful coexistence. The 'Real Armenia' concept put forward by the Armenian authorities is, in fact, undergoing a serious crisis."

It was stated that in recent days, approaches built on fake history, fake antiquity, and national exceptionalism have once again been observed coming to the fore in Armenian society:

"Denying the history and culture of the Azerbaijani people, who possess a great history and rich cultural heritage, is a fundamentally wrong and dangerous policy. As emphasized by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, during his meeting with religious figures from several foreign countries on September 15, the Azerbaijani people have given world culture such genius figures and thinkers as Nizami Ganjavi, Khagani Shirvani, Nasimi, Seyid Yahya Bakuvi, Shah Ismail Khatai, and Fuzuli. It is precisely this kind of toxic ideology and approach that dragged Armenia into the 'miatsum' policy, especially over the last 30 years, paving the way for the deportation of Western Azerbaijanis from Armenia, the occupation of Azerbaijani territories, and the deliberate destruction of cultural heritage, including mosques."

It was emphasized that the consequences of this policy for the Armenian state and the Armenian people are clear to everyone.

"The Western Azerbaijan Community calls on Armenian society not to repeat the mistakes of the past, to end attempts to interfere in Azerbaijan's internal affairs, to fully accept our country's sovereignty and territorial integrity, and to refrain from provocative actions that regularly cause justified resentment in Azerbaijan," the statement concluded.
